Nightlight Readings is a personal blog, in which I share my personal opinions, experiences, life, love, and interests concerning literature, writing, photography, history, music, and movies with my friends and whoever ventures to my site.
Primarily, this blog is to allow me to release my thoughts and ramblings, which oftentimes fill my mind with every day distractions.
My hope is that this site and blog will grow into something more...a place where American culture can meet the everyday person, where opinions and experiences, knowledge and reviews can be shared between young and old. So that we may be inspired to write our own stories, filled with adventures and a “thimble” or a “kiss.”
May all our wishes come true, and may all our tomorrows become todays.
“To study history is to study the motives, the opinions, and the passions of men in order to know all the successes, the initiatives and the detours, and finally all the illusions that they make known to the mind and the surprises that they make the heart feel. In a word, it is to learn to known oneself in others.”—Jean Mabillon, 15th c. Benedictine scholar.
